What do so many of us dread during this holiday season?

My guess is that it has to do with having to get along with relatives we don’t often get along with ☹

If that’s you, and who doesn’t have issues with at least one person in their lives right? Here are some tips on how to get along with anyone:

  1. Be a good listener: listen first, especially in a group (then share your opinion).

  2. Don’t try to change people: have you noticed that never works?

  3. Keep your sense of humor: I find that I laugh more as I’ve gotten older. Why make life so serious? Let’s have some fun!

  4. Radiate positivity: smile a lot. I know, it sounds corny, but force yourself to smile when you’re feeling sad or down, you will notice that the physical change in your face actually makes you feel better. Try it, it works for me ☺

  5. Give genuine compliments… don’t like someone? Or think that someone doesn’t like you? Find something positive about them to compliment. I know it can be hard but try. Even if you don’t feel it, it will definitely affect how that person feels about you (in a positive way), and that’s a good start!
